Join Putnam Highlands Audubon Society for our annual spring dinner, scheduled for March 22nd from 5:00 – 8:00 PM at the Taconic Outdoor Education Center—always a wonderful time to see old and new friends and support your local conservation society.

Honoring the Dedicated Staff of Fahnestock and Hudson Highlands State Parks

A special evening celebrating the unsung heroes who protect and maintain our beloved local state parks. Each year, tens of thousands of visitors explore the scenic beauty of Clarence Fahnestock and Hudson Highlands State Parks, and it is thanks to the dedicated efforts of Park Manager Evan Thompson and his team that these natural treasures remain well-preserved, safe, and accessible for all.

From managing trailheads that often see as many as 2,000 visitors per day, to operating campgrounds, swim areas, and outdoor education programs, their work is essential yet often goes unrecognized. This year, we are proud to publicly honor them for their outstanding commitment to conservation and recreation in Putnam County.

Our honorees will share insights into their work through a brief presentation of a behind-the-scenes look at the challenges and rewards of maintaining these beloved public lands.

Special Guest Speakers:

Evan Thompson – Park Manager
Brian Rubino – Park Staff and Former PHAS Volunteer Board Member
Lauren Martin – Park Staff and Former PHAS Volunteer Board Member

Please note that this is a ticketed event. Space is limited, and attendees are encouraged to purchase tickets in advance. Register now to save your spot!
