Third Saturday November Bird Walk at West Point Foundry Preserve
by Kyle Bardwell
Saturday was return of the Bass man. Ryan made his return to lead the PHAS Third Saturday walk after recently entering the Dad world. Joined by Brian, Perry, Pete and myself ,we had a nice team for the walk.
The birding did not disappoint. Over 30 species were tallied on the walk which is a great number for this time of year. Attendees got great looks at birds such as Cedar Waxwing, Pileated Woodpecker, Yellow Bellied Sapsucker, and Eastern Bluebirds. Turkey Vultures, Black Vultures, Red Tailed hawk and a Bald Eagle all made appearances over head. A very birdy day and a lot of fun. Here are some of my better photos.
