Join us for a presentation on the wildlife diversity and rare reptile species of our region, and learn about everything that makes it all so special. This talk will cover the histories, distributions, threats, and conservation efforts for timber rattlesnake, box turtle, fence lizard, and others, as well as actions folks can take to help these and other species in the area. This presentation will be led by Lisa Masi, Wildlife Biologist for the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation Bureau of Wildlife.

Masi has been a Biologist 1 in New Paltz, NY, NYS DEC Region 3, since 2008. Starting her career with DEC on Long Island (Region 1) in 2005 as a waterfowl and furbearer biologist, Lisa is currently a regional diversity, or non-game/rare species biologist, working on endangered and threatened wildlife species and rare species conservation. Lisa holds a MA in Conservation Biology from Columbia University and a BA in Conservation Biology from Boston University.
