Wildlife In The Hudson Valley : From the Stone Age to the Present

With Scott Craven.

Saturday, November 12th, Hubbard Lodge, Cold Spring 3:00 pm

Scott Craven, a local environmental historian, will present a unique and provocative program surveying some 10,000 years of wildlife history here in the Hudson valley, beginning with stone-age hunters and the giant elephant relatives they preyed upon, to modern day controversies involving wolves and coyotes, deer populations, beavers, and more.

Scott is the co-author of the newly-published “Croton Point Park: Westchester’s Jewel on the Hudson” (Arcadia 2022), and is the official Town Historian for Ossining. He spent 32 years with the Ossining Police Department as Patrol Captain, received an M.S. in American History, and is well known for his outstanding historical knowledge and lively presentations.
