May 6th, Thursday 8:00 Am. Beginner's Bird Walk. Foundry Cove Park, Cold Spring

May 6th , Thursday 8:00 am.

Beginner's Bird Walk. Foundry Cove park, Cold Spring.

Leader is Pete Salmansohn, local environmental educator.

April and May are wonderful times to see and hear birds and we can expect to find a variety of Spring migrants, like swallows and warblers, as well as year-round residents like red-bellied woodpeckers and goldfinch. This walk will be designed for those with a bit of experience or no experience at all watching birds, and we will go over proper use of binoculars (which each participant should provide) as well as the basics of good bird identification. This will be a light-hearted but focused experience. Reservations are required as space is limited.
